Volleyball Recap: Academy of Science and Innovation Comes Up Short

Academy of Science and Innovation was not able to break out of their rough patch on Thursday as the team picked up their fifth straight defeat. They took a 3-1 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Hartford Magnet Trinity College Academy Phoenix. The result was an unpleasant reminder to the Ravens of the 3-2 loss they experienced in the pair's previous head-to-head fixture back in May of 2024.

Academy of Science and Innovation was was forced to take the loss, but they sure made Hartford Magnet Trinity College Academy work for it, especially in the first set. The match finished with set scores of 28-26, 26-28, 25-12, 25-10.

Jeremiah Boakye paced Academy of Science and Innovation's offense, picking up nine kills. Boakye got some help from Demareon Taylor and his 21 assists. Finally, Boakye was also a dominant defender, finishing with a team-high four blocks.

Academy of Science and Innovation's defeat dropped their record down to 4-11. As for Hartford Magnet Trinity College Academy, with the victory, they broke their three-game losing streak and moved their record to 4-7.
