Baseball Recap: Mcallen Memorial Has No Trouble Against Veterans Memorial

McAllen Memorial's tournament run continued when they took on Veterans Memorial on Thursday. The McAllen Memorial Mustangs blew past the Veterans Memorial Chargers 8-1. The win made it back-to-back victories for the Mustangs.

McAllen Memorial got a great performance from Rj Rios as he didn't allow a single earned run while striking out 11 over six innings pitched. Those 11 strikeouts gave Rios a new career-high.

At the plate, Eloy Lozano was excellent, scoring a run while going 2-for-3. Another player making a difference was JD Garza, who scored a run while getting on base in all three of his plate appearances.
