Soccer Recap: Westview Comes Up Short

After flying high against Omaha Northwest last Thursday, Westview came back down to earth. The Wolverines came up short against the Blair Bears on Saturday, falling 7-0. While losing is never fun, Westview can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Nebraska soccer rankings (they are ranked 27th, while Blair are ranked second).

Westview's loss dropped their record down to 2-5. As for Blair, they pushed their record up to 7-0 with the victory, which was their third straight at home.

Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Westview will head out to square off against Papillion-LaVista at 6:00 p.m. on Monday. Papillion-LaVista will roll in looking for their fifth straight win, something Westview surely won't give up without a fight. As for Blair, they will venture away from home to face off against Plattsmouth at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday.
