Softball Game Preview: Dodgeville Dodgers vs. Fennimore Golden Eagles

Dodgeville is on a four-game streak of home wins, while Fennimore is on a four-game streak of away wins: one of those streaks is about to end. The Dodgers will host the Golden Eagles at 5:00 p.m. on Thursday.

For some reason, the away team has come away with the win the last four times Dodgeville and Prairie du Chien have met, but the home crowd finally got their W on Wednesday. The Dodgers fell 6-3 to the Blackhawks.

Meanwhile, Fennimore got themselves on the board against Darlington on Monday, but Darlington never followed suit. They were the clear victors by a 20-0 margin over the Redbirds. The result was nothing new for the Golden Eagles, who have now won eight matchups by six runs or more so far this season.

Fennimore has been performing incredibly well recently as they've won eight of their last nine contests. That's provided a nice bump to their 17-6 record this season. Those wins came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered 3.7 runs on average over those games. As for Dodgeville, their loss dropped their record down to 15-7.
