Discovery Canyon is a perfect 6-0 against Pueblo South since March of 2022 and they'll have a chance to extend that dominance on Saturday. The Thunder will venture away from home to face off against the Colts at 11:00 a.m. Both come into the match bolstered by wins in their previous matches.

Discovery Canyon is coming in fresh off a high-stakes matchup with another one of Colorado's top teams: Coronado, who was ranked eighth at the time (Discovery Canyon was ranked 16th). The Thunder walked away with a 3-1 win over the Cougars on Thursday. The victory made it back-to-back wins for the Thunder.

While Discovery Canyon might've won, it sure wasn't easy: Coronado scored at least 18 points in every set they played. The final score came out to 25-18, 25-21, 18-25, 25-18.

Meanwhile, Pueblo South entered their tilt with Canon City on Friday with two consecutive wins, and they'll enter their next game with three. They blew past the Tigers 3-0.

Pueblo South pushed their record up to 14-4 with the victory, which was their sixth straight at home. As for Discovery Canyon, their win bumped their record up to 13-4.

Everything went Discovery Canyon's way against Pueblo South in their previous matchup back in April of 2024, as Discovery Canyon made off with a 3-0 victory. Do the Thunder have another victory up their sleeve, or will the Colts turn the tables on them? We'll have the answer soon enough.
