Baseball Game Preview: St. Clair Saints vs. Berkley Bears

The St. Clair Saints are taking a road trip to square off against the Berkley Bears at 10:30 a.m. on Saturday. Given that the two teams suffered a loss in their last games, they both have a little extra motivation heading into this game.

On Thursday, St. Clair came up short against Grosse Pointe North and fell 5-1. The Saints have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.

Meanwhile, Berkley didn't have quite enough to beat Bloomfield Hills on Thursday and fell 9-8.

Spencer Bajcz and Nick Campbell did some serious damage despite the final result: Bajcz went 2-for-4 with two stolen bases, two runs, and one double, while Campbell went 2-for-3 with two runs, one stolen base, and one double. Berkley is 2-1 when Bajcz posts two or more stolen bases, but 6-12 otherwise. Kyle Gabriel was another key player, going 1-for-2 with one stolen base, one run, and one RBI.

St. Clair's defeat dropped their record down to 6-9. As for Berkley, their loss dropped their record down to 8-13.
