Soccer Recap: Point Pleasant Comes Up Short

While it was all tied up 0-0 at halftime, Point Pleasant was not quite George Washington's equal in the second half on Saturday. They came up short against the Patriots, falling 4-0. Point Pleasant were given a dose of their own medicine in this game as George Washington apparently hadn't forgotten their loss the last time these teams played back in October of 2024.

This is the second loss in a row for Point Pleasant and nudges their season record down to 0-2. As for George Washington, they have started the season off flawlessly and has a 2-0 record to show for it.

Looking ahead, Point Pleasant will look to defend their home pitch on Thursday against Alexander at 7:00 p.m. As for George Washington, they will head out on the road to take on Riverside at 8:00 p.m. on Tuesday.
