Baseball Recap: Escambia Academy Gets the Win

Escambia Academy won the last time they faced Snook Christian Academy and things went their way on Tuesday too. The Escambia Academy Cougars sure made it a nail-biter, but they managed to escape with a 10-8 win over the Snook Christian Academy Eagles. That's two games straight that the Cougars have won by exactly two runs.

Isaac Radcliff made a big impact no matter where he played. On the mound, he pitched six innings while giving up just two earned (and one unearned) runs off five hits. What's more, he posted four strikeouts, the most he's had since back in March of 2024. He was also stellar in the batter's box, scoring three runs and stealing a base while getting on base in three of his four plate appearances.

In other batting news, AJ Bennett was incredible, scoring three runs and stealing Two bases. while going 2-for-3. That's the most runs he has posted since back in April of 2024. Another player making a difference was Jackson Bartley, who scored a run while going 2-for-3.

Escambia Academy is on a roll lately: they've won three of their last four matches. That's provided a nice bump to their 5-4 record this season. Snook Christian Academy is on a three-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 3-5.

The teams didn't have to wait long for a rematch: Snook Christian Academy beat Escambia Academy by a score of 16-3 later that day.
