Basketball Recap: Centerville Takes a Loss

Centerville suffered their biggest defeat since January 25th on Wednesday. They were beaten by the Springboro Panthers 71-36. The loss continues a trend for the Elks in their meetings with the Panthers: they've now lost five in a row.

Centerville now has a losing record of 1-2. As for Springboro, the victory was the fourth in a row for them, bringing their record up to 4-1.

Coming up, Centerville will be playing at home against Northmont at 1:00 p.m. on Saturday. The Elks will be up against the Thunderbolts' rather soft defense (which has allowed 62.75 points per contest), so fans could be in store for a big offensive performance. As for Springboro, they will take on Springfield at 11:15 a.m. on Saturday.
