Thompson Valley had to travel to play their first game of the season, but the final result was worth the trip. They put the hurt on the Cheyenne Mountain Red-Tailed Hawks with a sharp 3-0 win on Tuesday. Winning may never get old, but the Eagles sure are getting used to it with their eighth in a row dating back to last season.

Thompson Valley walked away with the victory (and looked especially good in the first set). The final score came out to 25-15, 25-23, 26-24.

Cheyenne Mountain's loss dropped their record down to 0-2.

Both teams are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Thompson Valley will host Lewis-Palmer at 6:30 p.m. on Thursday. As for Cheyenne Mountain, they will be playing at home against Rampart at 6:30 p.m. on Friday.
