Softball Recap: Warner Christian Academy Eagles vs. City of Life Christian Academy Warriors

Warner Christian Academy extended their losing streak (dating back to last season) to 13 on Thursday, dropping their season record down to 0-10 in the process. They lost 14-0 to the City of Life Christian Academy Warriors. Unfortunately, that's the second time they've come up short against the Warriors this season, as they also lost their prior matchup 21-6 back in March.

As for City of Life Christian Academy, their victory bumped their record up to 8-5. They might be getting used to big wins seeing as the team has won six contests by seven runs or more this season.

For City of Life Christian Academy's part, Natalia Duran and Destiny Sanchez did most of the damage at the plate: Duran went 2-for-4 with four runs and two stolen bases, while Sanchez got on base in three of her four plate appearances with two stolen bases and three runs. That's the most stolen bases Duran has posted since back in April of 2024. Another player making a difference was Mikayla Medina-Flood, who went a perfect 1-for-1 with two runs and one RBI.

Warner Christian Academy does not have any more games scheduled as of now. As for City of Life Christian Academy, they will square off against Lakeland at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday.
