Baseball Game Preview: Irvin Rockets vs. Ysleta Indians

Irvin is 0-3 against Ysleta since February of 2018 but things could change on Saturday. The Rockets will take on the Indians at 11:00 a.m.

Irvin is headed into Saturday's matchup looking for a big change in momentum after dropping their fifth straight game on Friday. They came up short against Hanks, falling 9-2.

Irvin saw two different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Anthony Badajosa, who scored a run while going 3-for-3.

Meanwhile, Ysleta had already won five in a row (a stretch where they outscored their opponents by an average of 15 runs) and they went ahead and made it six on Friday. They never let the Panthers get on the board and left with a 13-0 victory. The Indians' pitching crew has been rock solid lately; the team hasn't given up a run in their last three contests.

Ysleta pushed their record up to 9-13 with the win, which was their third straight at home. The home victories came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 13.7 runs over those games. As for Irvin, their loss dropped their record down to 4-14-1.

Irvin suffered a grim 11-2 defeat to Ysleta in their previous matchup two weeks ago. Can the Rockets avenge their defeat or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
