Trinity Christian Academy is on a roll after a high-stakes playoff matchup on Friday. They blew past Middle Tennessee Christian 49-0. The Lions might be getting used to big wins seeing as the team has won eight games by 26 points or more this season.

Owen Atwood produced another solid effort rushing for 84 yards and one touchdown on only six carries, while also throwing for 111 yards and one TD while completing 81.8% of his passes. His longest rush was for an incredible 72 yards. Gabe Lee also helped out with an impressive 82 receiving yards.
Trinity Christian Academy didn't let much get past them through the air: they limited Middle Tennessee Christian to a completion percentage of just 47.4%. That dominant aerial defense primarily came from five players: Lee, Cameron Hardin, Greg Carter, Reed Williamson, and Lake Helton, who each logged one passes deflected. Trinity Christian Academy has been improving in that area: they had allowed a completion percentage of 0.62 earlier this season, but they've only allowed one of 0.62 in their last three games.
Trinity Christian Academy's defense didn't let the opposing QB, get away unscathed either: they got into the backfield for four sacks. Joe Cole refused to say out of the backfield, picking up 1.5 sacks all by himself. Another thorn in Middle Tennessee Christian's side was Hank Miller, who picked up a sack and made ten total tackles (1.5 for loss).
Meanwhile, Nashville Christian's game on Friday was all tied up 14-14 at the half, but luckily for them it didn't stay that way. They took their contest with ease, bagging a 42-14 victory over Jackson Christian. Considering Nashville Christian has won eight matchups by more than 27 points this season, Friday's blowout was nothing new.
Nashville Christian had a senior duo take command as Jared Curtis gained 144 total yards and three touchdowns and TJ Ward rushed for 122 yards and one score on only nine carries.
Trinity Christian Academy's record is now 10-2. As for Nashville Christian, their record now sits at 11-0.
Trinity Christian Academy couldn't quite get it done against Nashville Christian in their previous meeting back in November of 2023 as they fell 45-38. A big factor in that loss was the dominant performance of Curtis, who rushed for 118 yards and a pair of touchdowns on only 15 carries, and also threw for 253 yards and four TDs.
