Volleyball Recap: Civic Leadership/AAE Starts off Right with Win over Academy of Science and Innovation

Civic Leadership/AAE gave their fans exactly what they wanted out of a home opener on Wednesday. They walked away with a 3-1 victory over the Academy of Science and Innovation Ravens. For the Eagles, this counts as revenge for the 3-0 win the Ravens walked away with the last time they faced one another back in May of 2023.

Civic Leadership/AAE had a slow start but a hot finish: after dropping the first set, they turned around to win the next three. The match finished with set scores of 23-25, 25-10, 25-20, 25-15.

Angel Feliz and Jayden Ruiz certainly did their best on Wednesday to avoid the loss. Feliz had 15 digs and one assist, while Ruiz had seven digs and five kills.

This is the second loss in a row for Academy of Science and Innovation and nudges their season record down to 0-2.

Civic Leadership/AAE does not have any more games scheduled as of now. As for Academy of Science and Innovation, they will host Cheney Tech at 4:00 p.m. on Friday.
