Basketball Recap: Bishop Foley Takes a Loss

Bishop Foley was not able to break out of their rough patch on Thursday as the team picked up their fifth straight loss. They were beaten by the Lutheran North Mustangs 57-24. The Ventures were not able to make up for their defeat to the Mustangs from their previous meeting back in December of 2023.

Lutheran North's win was the result of several impressive offensive performances. One of the most notable came from Cameron Head, who went 5 for 7 on his way to 11 points. Head continues to improve, besting his previous point total in each of the last three games he's played. Ben Scheuher was another key player, putting up seven points.

Bishop Foley's loss dropped their record down to 1-17. As for Lutheran North, the victory made it two in a row for them and bumps their season record up to 5-9.

Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Bishop Foley will head out to face off against Detroit Cristo Rey at 5:00 p.m. on Monday. As for Lutheran North, they are taking a road trip to challenge Divine Child at 1:30 p.m. on Saturday. Lutheran North is strutting in with some offensive muscle as they've averaged 51.2 points per game this season.
