Soccer Recap: Sayre Takes a Loss

Sayre fell victim to Lafayette and their airtight defense on Monday. They lost 7-0 to the Generals. Considering the last time Sayre couldn't score was back in August, the team can't take the result too hard.

Sayre's defeat ended a three-match streak of away wins and brought them to 9-4-2. As for Lafayette, they are on a roll lately: they've won three of their last four contests. That's provided a nice bump to their 6-6-3 record this season.

Sayre will be playing at home against Lincoln County at 6:30 p.m. on Tuesday. As for Lafayette, they will head out to challenge Frederick Douglass at 8:00 p.m. on Wednesday.
