Volleyball Game Preview: Burton Scorpions vs. Belmont Sentinels

The Burton Scorpions will challenge the Belmont Sentinels at 4:00 p.m. on Thursday. Burton will be looking to extend their current five-game winning streak.

Last Wednesday, Burton made easy work of Animo Watts and carried off a 3-0 win.

Burton not only won, but also showed off some consistency: they kept Animo Watts between 14 and 17 points across their sets. The match finished with set scores of 25-14, 25-17, 25-15.

Meanwhile, it can be hard to translate regular season success to the playoffs, but Belmont had no problem doing just that on Monday. They walked away with a 3-1 victory over the Trojans.

The win didn't come easy: USC Hybrid scored at least 18 points in every set. The final score came out to 25-21, 24-26, 25-21, 25-18.

Burton's record now sits at 9-4. As for Belmont, their record is now 6-13.
