Football Game Preview: Riverside vs. Pitman

On Friday Riverside take on Pitman at 7:00 PM. If you head out to watch the game, expect to stay the whole 48 minutes: the MaxPreps rankings predict a close match.

Riverside took an ego-bruising loss against Palmyra two weeks ago, but they kept their chin up and bounced back last Friday. Riverside skirted past Robbinsville 36-34. Riverside found Riverside's leader in underclassman sophomore Khyjaron Moore, who rushed for 175 yards and 3 touchdowns. This marked the 3rd contest in which Moore has rushed for over 100 yards.

Meanwhile, Pitman had to hit the road for their first game, and unfortunately the road hit them back. They have to be aching after a bruising 0-26 defeat to Lower Cape May last Friday. Pitman were down by 0-26 at the end of the third quarter, which was just too much to recover from.

Riverside's victory lifted them to 2-3 while Pitman's defeat dropped them down to 0-1. In their victory, Riverside relied heavily on sophomore Khyjaron Moore, who rushed for 175 yards and 3 touchdowns. Pitman will need to find a way to minimize his impact if they want to win.
