Recap: Spring Creek Gators vs. Hobbton Wildcats
The Spring Creek Gators lost to the Hobbton Wildcats back in December of 2022, but the Spring Creek Gators didn't allow the Hobbton Wildcats the same satisfaction on Wednesday. Spring Creek secured a 52-47 W over the Wildcats. The win made it back-to-back wins for Spring Creek.
Spring Creek's win was the result of several impressive offensive performances. One of the most notable came from Kamron McDaniel, who scored 14 points along with five rebounds and two steals. The team also got some help courtesy of Brennan Chambers, who almost dropped a double-double on 12 points and nine rebounds.
Hobbton lost despite a true team effort on the offense, the best among them being Garret Britt, who scored 16 points. Another player making a difference was Reece Bradshaw, who scored 12 points.
Spring Creek pushed their record up to 6-6 with that win, which was their fifth straight at home. Those good results were due in large part to their offensive dominance across that stretch, as they averaged 61.4 points per game. As for Hobbton, they are on a nine-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 1-12.
Both teams are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Spring Creek's homestand continues as they prepare to take on the Warriors at 7:30 p.m. on January 19th. Eastern Wayne knows how to get points on the board -- the team has finished with flashy point totals in its past four matchups -- so hopefully the Gators likes a good challenge. As for Hobbton, they will be playing in front of their home fans against the Cougars at 7:30 p.m. on Friday. Neuse Charter is strutting with some offensive muscle, as they've averaged 53.7 points per game this season.
