Soccer Game Preview: Willis vs. Conroe

Willis is 1-9 against Conroe since February of 2021 but they'll have a chance to close the gap a little bit on Saturday. The Wildkats will be playing in front of their home fans against the Tigers at 7:30 p.m. Neither team made it on the board the last time they hit the pitch, so they've probably got a bit of extra motivation.

The home team had won the previous three meetings between Willis and New Caney, and New Caney kept the tradition alive. The Wildkats fell 3-1 to the Eagles on Wednesday.

Conroe had taken Grand Oaks down for two straight games at home, but that winning streak came to an end on Wednesday. The Tigers lost 4-0 to the Grizzlies.

Conroe's defeat dropped their record down to 5-3-2. As for Willis, their loss dropped their record down to 1-7-1.

Willis suffered a grim 6-1 defeat to Conroe when the teams last played back in March of 2025. That matchup was all but decided by halftime, at which point the Wildkats were down 4-0.
