Baseball Recap: Quincy Presidents vs. Hanover Hawks

Quincy had lost eight straight on the road, but on Wednesday they dropped their record down to 3-17 to make it nine. They lost 14-3 to the Hanover Hawks. Unfortunately, that's the second time they've come up short against the Hawks this season, as they also lost their prior matchup 8-1 last Tuesday.

As for Hanover, their record is now 14-7. Considering they have won seven games by more than six runs this season, Wednesday's blowout was nothing new.

For Hanover's part, they got a great performance from Ben Freedman as he struck out six batters over five innings while giving up just two earned (and one unearned) runs off four hits.

At the plate, the team relied heavily on Joseph DaCosta, who got on base in three of his five plate appearances with three RBI, two runs, and one double. Another player making a difference was Cole Hendrickson, who went 2-for-3 with two runs and two RBI.

Quincy does not have any more games scheduled as of now. As for Hanover, they are taking a road trip to square off against Braintree at 3:30 p.m. on Tuesday.
