Basketball Recap: Monday's Victory Is Pope John XXIII's Eighth in Last Ten Outings

It can be hard to translate regular season success to the playoffs, but Pope John XXIII had no problem doing just that on Monday. They enjoyed a cozy 39-23 victory over the Oak Knoll Royals.

Pope John XXIII is on a roll lately: they've won eight of their last ten matches. That's provided a nice bump to their 13-5 record this season. Those victories came thanks in part to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 51.1 points over those games. With the loss, Oak Knoll broke their three-game winning streak and moved their record to 6-5.

Coming up, Pope John XXIII will face off against Immaculate Heart Academy on Thursday. Oak Knoll does not have any more games scheduled as of now.
