Baseball Recap: Laney Buccaneers vs. T.C. Roberson Rams
It's hard to turn regular season success into postseason wins, a fact Laney can now relate to. They fell just short of the T.C. Roberson Rams by a score of 8-7 on Saturday. Unfortunately, that's the second time they've come up short against the Rams this season, as they also lost their prior matchup 12-0 on Friday.
TJ Ziermann was cooking despite his team's loss, going 2-for-4 with one home run, one triple, and two RBI. Owen Gore was another key player, going 2-for-3 with three RBI and one run.
Laney has been struggling recently as they've lost three of their last four matches. That's put a noticeable dent in their 25-7 record this season. As for T.C. Roberson, the victory (which was their fourth in a row) raised their record to 27-6.
