After having lost a blowout in their previous game against Platteview, Ralston was happy to have turned things around on Thursday. They had just enough and edged out the Hastings Tigers 7-5. This was payback for the Rams, who suffered a 12-10 loss the last time these two teams met.

Ralston saw three different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Kasen Fuccio, who went 2-for-3 with two RBI.

Ralston has been performing well recently as they've won five of their last six games. That's provided a nice bump to their 7-2 record this season. Those wins came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 9.5 runs over those games. As for Hastings, they have traveled a rocky road recently, having lost three of their last four matchups. That's put a noticeable dent in their 2-5 record this season.

We've got plenty of inter-district action coming up soon. Ralston will square off against rival Wahoo/Bishop Neumann at 4:30 p.m. on Friday. Meanwhile, Hastings is set to face off against their familiar foe Elkhorn at 11:00 a.m. on Saturday.
