Volleyball Recap: Cornerstone Academy Comes Up Short

After flying high against Foxfire last Tuesday, Cornerstone Academy came back down to earth. The Wolves fell just short of the Horizon Science Academy Hawks by a score of 3-2 on Tuesday.

In an exciting match in which no team claimed back-to-back wins, Cornerstone Academy sadly wound up on the wrong side. The final score came out to 25-16, 8-25, 26-24, 16-25, 17-15.

Cornerstone Academy's loss dropped their record down to 8-6. As for Horizon Science Academy, their victory ended a seven-match drought on the road dating back to last season and puts them at 4-9.

Looking ahead, Cornerstone Academy will head out to challenge Academy for Urban Scholars at 6:30 p.m. on Thursday. As for Horizon Science Academy, they will host Independence at 5:30 p.m. on Thursday.
