Preview: Eaton Reds vs. Peak to Peak Pumas
The Eaton Reds will be playing in front of their home fans against the Peak to Peak Pumas on Tuesday. Expect the scorekeeper to be kept busy: if their previous games are any indication, the pair will really light up the scoreboard.
Eaton struggled with threes on Saturday (Kent Denver had 1300% more) and sadly the final score reflected it. Eaton was beaten by Kent Denver 102-67. Eaton was in a tough position after the first half, with the score already sitting at 53-26.
Despite the loss, Eaton saw an underclassman step up: Andrew Loyd scored 14 points along with 5 rebounds. Lucas Stone was another key contributor, scoring 17 points.
Meanwhile, Peak to Peak beat Moffat County 73-65 on Saturday.
Eaton now has a losing record at 2-3. As for Peak to Peak, they now have a winning record of 3-2.
Everything went Eaton's way against Peak to Peak in their previous meeting back in December of 2022 as Eaton made off with a 71-45 victory. Will Eaton repeat their success, or does Peak to Peak have a new game plan this time around? We'll find out soon enough.
