Flag Football Recap: Edwardsville's Undefeated Season over After Five Games

While it was all tied up 6-6 at halftime, Edwardsville was not quite East St. Louis's equal in the second half on Wednesday. They lost to the Flyers at home by a 25-6 margin. The game marked the Tigers' lowest-scoring contest so far this season.

Ella Wallace threw for 205 yards and one touchdown. Gabby Thompson was her top target, picking up 68 receiving yards and one TD.

Skylar Wood was her usual excellent self, picking up 121 receiving yards for East St. Louis.

Having lost for the first time this season, Edwardsville fell to 4-1. As for East St. Louis, the victory made it two in a row for them and bumps their season record up to 3-1.

Coincidentally, Edwardsville and East St. Louis will both be playing Belleville West the next time they take the field. The Flyers will host the Maroons at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday, while the Tigers will host them at 6:00 p.m. on Wednesday.
