Basketball Recap: Sevier County Falls Short Against Ranked Oak Ridge

On Thursday, Sevier County faced Oak Ridge in a battle between two of the state's top teams. The Sevier County Smoky Bears took a 51-42 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Oak Ridge Wildcats. The Smoky Bears have been going strong on the season, but this is now their second loss in a row.

Sevier County's defeat dropped their record down to 23-6. As for Oak Ridge, they pushed their record up to 23-3 with the win, which was their 19th straight at home dating back to last season.

Sevier County does not have any more games scheduled as of now. As for Oak Ridge, they have already played their next game, a 60-17 victory against Fulton on the 15th.
