Baseball Game Preview: Auburn Maroons vs. Oswego Bucs

Auburn is on a three-game streak of home losses, and Oswego a three-game streak of away losses. However, someone's due for a change in luck on Monday. The Auburn Maroons will be playing in front of their home fans against the Oswego Bucs at 6:30 p.m. The two teams were dealt some close losses in their previous games and are determined not to let this one get away.

Auburn is headed into the game having just suffered their closest defeat since May 16, 2024 on Saturday. They fell just short of Jamesville-DeWitt by a score of 4-2.

Auburn saw four different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Grant Pinckney, who went a perfect 1-for-1 with one triple and one RBI.

Meanwhile, Oswego fell victim to West Genesee and their airtight pitching crew on Thursday. They might be feeling deja-vu: they lost 2-0 to the Wildcats, which was the same score (and result) they got the week prior.

Oswego's loss dropped their record down to 5-7. As for Auburn, they now have a losing record of 6-7.
