Softball Recap: Brookville Comes Up Short

It's hard to turn regular season success into postseason wins, a fact Brookville can now relate to. They fell just short of the Monticello Mustangs by a score of 1-0 on Friday. Having soared to a lofty ten runs in the game before, the Bees' shutout was a dramatic turnaround.

Brookville has also traveled a rocky road recently, having lost three of their last four matches. That's put a noticeable dent in their 11-8 record this season. As for Monticello, they have been performing incredibly well recently as they've won 11 of their last 12 games. That's provided a nice bump to their 19-4 record this season.

Brookville does not have any more games scheduled as of now. As for Monticello, they will head out to face off against Turner Ashby at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday. The Knights will roll in looking for their 13th straight win, something the Mustangs surely won't give up without a fight.
