Softball Recap: Greenville Comes Up Short

After soaring to 14 runs the game before, Greenville was a bit more limited in their contest on Friday. They took a 6-2 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Hillcrest Rams. The result was an unpleasant reminder to the Red Raiders of the 13-0 defeat they experienced in the pair's previous head-to-head fixture back in March of 2015.

Greenville's loss was their fourth straight at home, which dropped their record down to 7-6-1. As for Hillcrest, the win (which was their fourth in a row) raised their record to 7-8.

We've got plenty of inter-region action coming up soon. Greenville will take on rival T.L. Hanna at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Meanwhile, Hillcrest is set to face off against their familiar foe Woodmont at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday.
