Basketball Recap: Camp Point Central Panthers vs. Van-Far Indians
After only 21 points in their last contest, the Camp Point Central Panthers made sure to put some points up on the board against the Van-Far Indians on Saturday. Camp Point Central walked away with a 59-46 win over the Indians.
Despite the defeat, Van-Far saw an underclassman step up: Pacey Reading scored 18 points along with seven rebounds. Carter Jennings was another key contributor, scoring eight points along with five rebounds.
Camp Point Central's win bumped their record up to 17-6. As for Van-Far, their defeat dropped their record down to 15-5.
Camp Point Central will head out on the road to take on the Saukees at 7:30 p.m. on Monday. As for Van-Far, they will look to defend their home court on Monday against the Fighting Colonels at 7:30 p.m. Missouri Military Academy is no doubt hoping to put an end to a seven-game streak of away losses.
