After a string of five wins, Pine Bush's good fortune finally ran out on Monday. They took a 3-1 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Cornwall Central Dragons. If the Bushmen were looking for revenge after losing 3-0 to the Dragons when the teams met back in September of 2022, then they'll just have to keep looking.

While Pine Bush ultimately came up short, they really made Cornwall Central work, particularly in the fourth set. The final score came out to 25-23, 25-14, 21-25, 26-24.

Pine Bush's loss dropped their record down to 6-4-1. As for Cornwall Central, they are on a roll lately: they've won four of their last five matches. That somehow still isn't as good as their 24-2-4 record this season.

Pine Bush will venture away from home to take on Newburgh Free Academy at 6:00 p.m. on Wednesday. As for Cornwall Central, they will square off against Washingtonville at 5:30 p.m. on Wednesday.
