The Fletcher Senators will face off against the Sandalwood Saints at 7:00 p.m. on Wednesday. Fletcher will aim to continue their three-game streak of scoring more runs each game than the last.
Last Thursday, Fletcher earned a 10-5 victory over Fernandina Beach. That's two games straight that the Senators have won by exactly five runs.

Monike Priebe made a big impact while hitting and pitching. She didn't allow a single earned run over four innings pitched. What's more, she gave up only one walk, the fewest she's had since back in April of 2024. She was also big at the plate, going 3-for-4 with two doubles, one triple, and one run. The dominant performance gave her a new career-high in doubles.
In other batting news, Haley Phillips was a standout: she scored a run while going 2-for-4. Those two hits gave her a new career-high. The team also got some help courtesy of Ava Lowman, who scored three runs while going 2-for-5.
Fletcher was getting hits left and right and finished the game having posted a batting average of .424. That's the best batting average they've posted all season.
Meanwhile, Sandalwood didn't have quite enough to beat Mandarin on Tuesday and fell 6-4. The Saints have struggled against the Mustangs recently, as the game was their fourth consecutive lost meetings.
Kelsie Salter spent all seven innings on the mound, and it's clear why: she surrendered three earned (and three unearned) runs on 11 hits and racked up seven Ks. She has been nothing but reliable: she hasn't tossed less than five strikeouts in three consecutive appearances.
At the plate, Emmie Dawley was cooking despite her team's loss, going 2-for-3 with one home run, three RBI, and one double. Annie Bascon was another key player, going 1-for-3 with one triple, one run, and one RBI.
Sandalwood's defeat dropped their record down to 2-6. As for Fletcher, the win got them back to even at 3-3.
Fletcher beat Sandalwood 3-0 in their previous meeting back in April of 2024. Does Fletcher have another victory up their sleeve, or will Sandalwood turn the tables on them? We'll have the answer soon enough.
