Basketball Recap: Aiden Moore and Courtland Reiter Secure Win for Summit Christian Academy

After having lost a blowout in their previous game against Walsingham Academy, Summit Christian Academy was happy to have turned things around on Saturday. They enjoyed a cozy 56-37 victory over the StoneBridge Cavaliers. This was payback for the Eagles, who suffered a 77-70 defeat the last time these two teams met.

Summit Christian Academy was led to victory by Courtland Reiter and Aiden Moore. Reiter dropped a double-double with 26 points and 17 rebounds, while Moore dropped a double-double with ten points and 16 boards. That makes it three consecutive games in which Reiter has scored at least a third of the Eagles' points. Titus Staton also deserves some recognition as he posted his first assist of the season.

Summit Christian Academy was working as a unit and finished the game with 15 assists. That's the most assists they've managed all season.

The win got Summit Christian Academy back to even at 2-2. As for StoneBridge, this is the second loss in a row for them and nudges their season record down to 0-2.

Coming up, Summit Christian Academy will look to defend their home court on Monday against Hampton Christian Academy at 7:00 p.m. The Eagles will need to watch out since the Warriors have now posted at least 55 points every time they've taken the court this season. As for StoneBridge, they will hit the road for the first time this season to face off against Southampton Academy at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday.
