Baseball Recap: Northside Methodist Academy Takes a Loss

Northside Methodist Academy was not able to break out of their rough patch on Thursday as the team picked up their 15th straight defeat. They came up short against the Wicksburg Panthers, falling 15-3. Unfortunately, that's the second time they've come up short against the Panthers this season, as they also lost their prior matchup 11-0 last Tuesday.

Northside Methodist Academy saw five different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Chase Collins, who went 2-for-3 with one stolen base. That stolen base marked the first that Collins snagged this season.

Northside Methodist Academy's loss dropped their record down to 0-15. As for Wicksburg, their victory ended a three-game drought at home and bumped them up to 9-7.

Both teams are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Northside Methodist Academy will challenge Eufaula at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday. As for Wicksburg, they will face off against Charles Henderson at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday. The Trojans will roll in looking for their eighth straight win, something the Panthers surely won't give up without a fight.
