Basketball Recap: Parowan Snaps Five-Game Streak of Wins at Home

Parowan entered their matchup against Kanab on Friday without any home losses, but there's a first time for everything. The Parowan Rams fell 47-36 to the Kanab Cowboys. While losing is never fun, the Rams can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Utah basketball rankings (they are ranked 105th, while the Cowboys are ranked 35th).

Kanab can attribute much of their success to Trey Castagno, who went 5 of 7 en route to 14 points. The team also got some help courtesy of Kyle Brown, who posted ten points and five rebounds.

Parowan's defeat ended a five-game streak of wins at home dating back to last season and dropped them to 3-8. As for Kanab, they have been performing well recently as they've won three of their last four contests, which provided a nice bump to their 6-3 record this season.

Parowan wasted no time getting back out on the court and has already played their next game, a 64-52 loss against Carbon on the 28th. As for Kanab, they also didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next matchup, a 70-37 win against Piute on the 27th.
