Basketball Recap: Lacorrian Thompson and Waylon Allen Secure Win for Central of Coosa County

Central of Coosa County's game on Tuesday was all tied up 21-21 at the half, but luckily for them it didn't stay that way. They snuck past the Reeltown Rebels with a 44-39 win. That's the second time they've managed to beat them this season, as they also won 58-51 back in December of 2024.

Leading Central of Coosa County to victory were Waylon Allen and Lacorrian Thompson. Allen posted 13 points and four steals, while Thompson scored 17 points. The match was Thompson's seventh in a row with at least ten points. Kaleb Ballard was another key player, putting up eight points along with seven blocks and five rebounds.

Central of Coosa County is on a roll lately: they've won six of their last eight games, which provided a nice bump to their 13-7 record this season. The wins came thanks to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 66.9 points per game. As for Reeltown, they have traveled a rocky road recently having lost eight of their last nine contests, which put a noticeable dent in their 3-10 record this season.

As of now, neither Central of Coosa County nor Reeltown have any future games scheduled.
