It was a good run, but St. Joseph Catholic unfortunately witnessed the end of their six-game winning streak on Thursday. They fell just short of the Tri-County Academy Rebels by a score of 3-1. Having soared to a lofty 14 runs in the game before, the Bruins couldn't push the score so high this time.

St. Joseph Catholic saw six different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Parker Mize, who went a perfect 1-for-1 with two stolen bases and one RBI. Mize has been hot recently, having posted at least one stolen base the last four times he's played.

St. Joseph Catholic's defeat dropped their record down to 6-3. As for Tri-County Academy, the win was the seventh in a row for them, bringing their record for this year to 9-3.

Looking ahead, St. Joseph Catholic will square off against Vicksburg at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. As for Tri-County Academy, they will be playing in front of their home fans against Purvis at 4:30 p.m. on March 14th.
