Recap: Omaha Westside Warriors vs. Omaha South Packers

In what's become a running theme this season, the Omaha Westside Warriors gave their fans yet another huge victory on Friday. They claimed a resounding 83-35 victory over Omaha South at home. For those curious, yes, that was the biggest victory Omaha Westside has managed all season.

Omaha Westside found their leader in underclassman Donnie Barfield, who scored 14 points along with seven rebounds and six steals. As a matter of fact, that's the most points Barfield has scored all season. Rickey Loftin was another key contributor, scoring ten points along with three steals.

The victory was the third in a row for Omaha Westside, bringing their record for this year to 10-3. They've been dominating during the matchups in that stretch too, as they've won by an average of 27 points. As for Omaha South, they are on a seven-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 2-9.

Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Omaha Westside won't have much time to rest: their next game is against Papillion-LaVista South at 4:45 p.m. on January 20th. One thing working in Papillion-LaVista South's favor is that they have posted big point totals in their last three games. Omaha South won't have much time to rest: their next matchup is against Millard South at 7:15 p.m. on January 20th. Hopefully Millard South focused on turnovers this week since the team gave up eight on Friday.
