Basketball Game Preview: NCSSM: Durham Unicorns vs. Northeast Guilford Rams

The NCSSM: Durham Unicorns just played yesterday, but they'll still head out to face the Northeast Guilford Rams at 7:30 p.m. on Wednesday. The two teams are strolling into their games after big wins in their previous games.

NCSSM: Durham is headed in fresh off scoring the most points they have all season. They simply couldn't be stopped on Tuesday as they easily beat East Wake Academy 85-56. Winning may never get old, but the Unicorns sure are getting used to it with their third in a row.

Meanwhile, Northeast Guilford hadn't done well against Atkins recently (they were 1-6 in their previous seven matchups), but they didn't let the past get in their way on Thursday. Northeast Guilford blew past Atkins, posting a 90-35 victory. The Rams have made a habit of sweeping their opponents off the court, having now won five matchups by 21 points or more this season.

Northeast Guilford is on a roll lately: they've won seven of their last nine contests, which provided a nice bump to their 9-3 record this season. Those victories came thanks to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 70.2 points per game. As for NCSSM: Durham, their win bumped their record up to 7-4.

NCSSM: Durham came up short against Northeast Guilford in their previous meeting back in January of 2024, falling 51-38. Can NCSSM: Durham avenge their loss or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
