Volleyball Game Preview: Cedar Cliff Colts vs. Central Dauphin Rams

The Cedar Cliff Colts will head out on the road to take on the Central Dauphin Rams at 6:30 p.m. on Wednesday. Both come into the match bolstered by wins in their previous matches.

Cedar Cliff is headed into the contest having just posted their closest win since September 25, 2024 on Tuesday. They had just enough and edged out Altoona 3-2. The Colts haven't had any issues with the Mountain Lions recently, as the game was their fourth consecutive victory against them.

Cedar Cliff took Altoona into a fifth set where they got it done with a three-point win. Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 9-25, 25-11, 21-25, 25-13, 15-12.

Meanwhile, Central Dauphin faced Lower Dauphin in a battle between two of the state's top teams on Tuesday. The Rams put the hurt on the Falcons with a sharp 3-0 win.

Central Dauphin never let Lower Dauphin on the board, but things got pretty close in the third set. The match finished with set scores of 25-10, 25-17, 26-24.

Central Dauphin's victory bumped their record up to 6-2. As for Cedar Cliff, their win (their first of the season) made their record 1-4.

Cedar Cliff skirted past Central Dauphin 3-2 in their previous matchup back in September of 2024. The rematch might be a little tougher for the Colts since the team won't have the home-court advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
