Stags aim for fifth consecutive 30-win season behind strong returning cast.

DeMatha (Hyattsville, Md.) has established itself as a mainstay in the MaxPreps Top 25 high school basketball rankings, finishing in the top 10 each of the past three seasons.

The Washington Catholic Athletic Conference's No. 2 preseason team, the Stags return eight players who saw minutes in their rotation last season while adding top 100 junior Rodney Rice.

Elijah and Jordan Hawkins, Jacoi Hutchinson, Will Reynolds, Jerrell Roberson and Tyler Ward return from last year's 30-3 team and all are expected to see increased roles this year for coach Mike Jones.

A fourth straight 30-win season earned the Stags a No. 6 rank in the final MaxPreps Top 25. They are expected to compete in this year's Spalding Hoophall Classic, Hoophall West and Peachtree Invitational along with a grueling WCAC schedule.
