Baseball Recap: Lowell Catholic Comes Up Short

After flying high against Northeast Metro RVT on Wednesday, Lowell Catholic came back down to earth. The Crusaders took a 4-1 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Whittier RVT Wildcats on Friday. Unfortunately, that's the second time they've come up short against the Wildcats this season, as they also lost their prior matchup 11-7 back in April.

Lowell Catholic's loss was their third straight on the road, which dropped their record down to 8-7. As for Whittier RVT, their win ended a four-game drought at home and bumped them up to 7-9.

Lowell Catholic has already played their next contest (against North Middlesex Regional), but no score has been uploaded at the time of writing. As for Whittier RVT, they have also already played their next game, a 15-2 victory against Ipswich on the 19th.
