Highlands Ranch piles up the points against Pueblo West

Recap: Highlands Ranch Falcons vs. Pueblo West Cyclones

The Highlands Ranch Falcons stacked a seventh blowout win onto their ever-increasing hoard on Saturday. They claimed a resounding 75-29 victory over Pueblo West at home. Winning may never get old, but Highlands Ranch sure is getting used to it with their fourth in a row.

Ezra Simonich continued her habit of posting crazy stat lines, scoring 30 points along with seven rebounds. As a matter of fact, that's the most points she has scored all season. Another player making a difference was Tori Baker, who scored 17 points along with six rebounds.

When it comes to explaining why Pueblo West lost, one person who can't be blamed is Jamie Suazo. Despite the final result, she scored 16 points along with six rebounds.

Pueblo West struggled to work together and finished the game with only four assists. They were crushed by their opponents in that department as Highlands Ranch racked up 17 assists.

Highlands Ranch pushed their record up to 13-6 with that win, which was their fourth straight at home. Those victories were due in large part to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 65.5 points per game. As for Pueblo West, their defeat ended a four-game streak of away wins and brought them to 13-6.

Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Highlands Ranch will face off against Regis Jesuit at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Highlands Ranch has been dominant on offense recently, as they've racked up an incredible 424 points over their last six games. As for Pueblo West, they will head out on the road to take on Pueblo East at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Hopefully Pueblo East focused on turnovers this week since the team gave up 15 on Friday.
