Scripps Ranch is 9-1 against Mira Mesa since April of 2016 and they'll have a chance to extend that dominance on Tuesday. The Falcons will be playing at home against the Marauders at 4:00 p.m. Scripps Ranch is strutting in with some hitting muscle as they've averaged 7.6 runs per game this season.
On Thursday, Scripps Ranch got the win against Madison by a conclusive 13-4. That's two games straight that the Falcons have won by exactly nine runs.

Brooke Griffin was incredible, going 1-for-2 with three RBI, two runs, and one stolen base. Those three RBI gave her a new career-high. Natalie Savary was another key player, getting on base in two of her three plate appearances with two runs, one stolen base, and two RBI.
Scripps Ranch was getting hits left and right and finished the game having posted a batting average of .429. They are a perfect 5-0 when they post a batting average of .375 or better.
Meanwhile, Mira Mesa was not the first on the board on Saturday, but they got there more often. They had just enough and edged out West Hills 4-3. The win made it back-to-back victories for the Marauders.
Brooklyn Haug spent all seven innings on the mound, and it's clear why: she surrendered only one earned (and two unearned) runs on seven hits.
On the hitting side, Mira Mesa's win was truly a team effort as four different players contributed at least one hit. One of them was Carla Murguia, who went 1-for-2 with one stolen base and one RBI.
Scripps Ranch is on a roll lately: they've won six of their last seven contests. That's provided a nice bump to their 8-4 record this season. Those victories came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 8.9 runs over those games. As for Mira Mesa, their win bumped their record up to 7-11.
Scripps Ranch came out on top in a nail-biter against Mira Mesa in their previous matchup back in March of 2024, sneaking past 2-1. Do the Falcons have another victory up their sleeve, or will the Marauders turn the tables on them? We'll have the answer soon enough.
