Baseball Recap: Hidalgo Takes a Tough Playoff Loss

It's hard to turn regular season success into postseason wins, a fact Hidalgo can now relate to. They fell 6-2 to the Tuloso-Midway Warriors & Cherokees on Friday. If the Pirates were looking for revenge after losing 7-0 to the Warriors & Cherokees when the teams met back in March of 2020, then they'll just have to keep looking.

Hidalgo saw four different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Luis Lozano, who went a perfect 1-for-1 with one run.

This is the second loss in a row for Hidalgo and nudges their season record down to 15-7-1. As for Tuloso-Midway, they are on a roll lately: they've won six of their last seven contests. That's provided a nice bump to their 23-8-1 record this season.

As of now, neither Hidalgo nor Tuloso-Midway have any future games scheduled.
