Baseball Recap: Macon-East Montgomery Academy Snaps Three-Game Streak of Wins on the Road

After some red-hot attacks at the plate in their last five contests, Macon-East Montgomery Academy finally came back down to earth on Thursday. They took a 5-0 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Lakeside School Chiefs. Unfortunately, that's the second time they've come up short against the Chiefs this season, as they also lost their prior matchup 4-0 back in March.

Macon-East Montgomery Academy's defeat ended a three-game streak of away wins and brought them to 9-6. As for Lakeside School, they have been performing incredibly well recently as they've won 21 of their last 23 matches. That's provided a nice bump to their 38-4 record this season.

Macon-East Montgomery Academy will look to defend their home field on Friday against Coosa Valley Academy at 4:00 p.m. Both teams are headed into the matchup with plenty of momentum (the Knights have won three straight at home, while the Rebels won three straight on the road), something that'll have to change. As for Lakeside School, they will take on Mount de Sales Academy at 12:00 p.m. on Saturday.
