Basketball Recap: Plano Beats Somonauk/Leland for Their Sixth Straight Win

Plano had won five straight games and Josie Larson did her part to make it six on Saturday. The Plano Reapers put the hurt on the Somonauk/Leland Bobcats with a sharp 58-34 victory thanks in part to Larson, who went 8 of 18 on her way to 19 points along with six steals and five boards. She is on a roll when it comes to steals, as she's now grabbed two or more in the last four games she's played.

The team also got some help courtesy of Jailyn Brown, who posted ten points. The dominant performance gave her a new career-high in points.

Plano has been performing incredibly well recently as they've won 11 of their last 12 matchups, which provided a nice bump to their 14-3 record this season. Those victories came thanks to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 52.8 points per game. As for Somonauk/Leland, this is the second loss in a row for them and nudges their season record down to 4-12.

Plano will square off against Parkview Christian Academy at 5:30 p.m. on Tuesday. Plano is facing Parkview Christian Academy at the right time seeing as Parkview Christian Academy is stuck on a five-game losing streak. As for Somonauk/Leland, they will take on Amboy at 7:00 p.m. on Wednesday.
