Basketball Recap: Wisdom Takes a Loss

Wisdom was not able to break out of their rough patch on Monday as the team picked up their fourth straight loss. They were beaten by the Heights Bulldogs 80-21. While losing is never fun, the Generals can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Texas basketball rankings (they are ranked 1516th, while the Bulldogs are ranked 292nd).

Jordan Clavelle went supernova for Heights, going 12 of 17 en route to 28 points and seven rebounds. Those 28 points gave Clavelle a new career-high. The team also got some help courtesy of Eric Ekwegbara, who went 8 of 11 on his way to 16 points.

Wisdom's defeat dropped their record down to 1-14. As for Heights, they have been performing well recently as they've won four of their last five matches, which provided a massive bump to their 15-11 record this season.

Wisdom will head out to face off against Lamar at 6:00 p.m. on Friday. As for Heights, they will host Cesar E. Chavez at 12:30 p.m. on Saturday. Heights will be looking to extend their current three-game winning streak.
